    replying to u/DizzyLink: Manjul in Soho is a very cool space and incredibly Brooklyn-esque while still being in Manhattan, highly recommend that one. Abraco in the East Village is like a coffee shop that turns into a bar at night and has very good, high quality coffee in a casual environment. Might be some lines but Arcane Estate in the West Village just got named the 12th best coffee shop in the world, and while I think it's solid at best it's worth going for that alone I think.

    replying to u/jellosghost: All of the well known cocktail bars in the area (Employees Only, Angel's Share, Sip and Guzzle, etc.) will be crowded on a Saturday. There is a relatively new Scandinavian cocktail bar in Hudson Square called KABIN that is pretty low key and quite nice.
