One is curry hill, near lex and 28th, can get dosa at sarvana bhavan, some Sindhi items at kailash parbat, chicken chettinad from Anjappar, Indian Chinese from spice symphony or maybe lamb curry and kebab from curry in a hurry. Second option is Jackson heights, quick kebabs from kebab king, dosa from dosa delight, fuchka from the truck(Bangladeshi), biryani from angel and not Indian but must have Nepali, jhol momo from Nepali bancha ghar.

I do think wok in the clouds is better than spice symphony

  • replying to u/flobot2048: My favorite of all Indian cuisines is Indian Chinese. Theres not a ton of places that have a dedicated menu but there’s a few with some items within your budget. Spice Symphony and Wok in the clouds. Highly rec Hakka noodles, Manchurian, chili chicken/paneer. Related but different - Cafe Himalaya is really great Tibetan/Nepali/Himalayan food and at great prices.

Wok in the Clouds chicken momo is so good!
