Source: I’m from Hawaii. Anyway, I think there was a place near Columbia called Makana that had some Hawaiian food, not sure if they’re still open. No chance of any lau lau in nyc

    +1 for Makana. I’m not Hawaiian but ordered from Makana all the time and they have loco moco and some of the other stuff mentioned from OP. Always really enjoyed it

  • replying to u/Schmeep01: Just remembered that the Hawaiian dish Loco Moco is as close to Salisbury steak you’ll get: Makana has this and it will scratch the itch you have for this flavor/texture profile.
