Casa Mono/Bar Jamon, Chito Gvrito, Yellow Rose for casual date nights, Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, or any of the abc’s for a more fancy one (maybe a little too obvious on those recc’s though). Not asked for but Sushi Dairo for unassuming, under the radar but great omakase. Don’t go to Eleni’s.

  • Surprisingly, Eleni’s on 3rd Avenue in Gramercy does a beautiful octopus. One of my favorite Greek spots outside of Astoria.
