“Went to G's a few weeks ago, ate one there and brought one home. Was very, very good, but the one I brought home and ate ~15 mins later was actually much better because it soaked up more cheese, texture better, temperature still right, etc. TLDR: G's amazing, get it takeout / delivered for best experience IMO.”

replying to u/ChefBoyD: Federoffs is so hard to beat. But I do dig the Cheese steaks at Olde City. And the fact that you can sub in chicken is also dope at Olde (juiciest chicken over there). I'm very apprehensive about going to Coops cheese steak though.

replying to u/hungryfordumplings: Can vouch for Olde City. Went there with some Philly transplants to NYC, and they all agreed it was legit. The lunch special is also a decent deal for that area of Midtown.
