replying to u/nautical_nonsense_: Bao Bao cafe (not new however) on Greenwich is best bang for your buck on lunch plates, Taiwanese style I think. Really flavorful and large portions. Carmen’s kitchen seems to always have a line but I’ve never tried it. Supposed to be another solid lunch spot. Loong Ramen in BPC is a solid new Ramen restaurant right on the water. Has a fairly unique take on ramen with minimalistic but flavorful bowls. Old Mates on John st has a wildly good Australian version of a chicken parm among other things like authentic Meat Pies. Indian King Biryiani near Zucotti is the best combo over rice I’ve found down here. Apollo bagels on Fulton is new and fire despite the lines.
