replying to u/PMPOSITIVITY: In my opinion there is a lot of subpar suggestions in this thread, so I’d like to give alternatives ^^ - udon: Okiboru house of Udon, they make a unique flat type of udon that is rare to find outside japan. i do not at all suggest raku, it is genuinely completely average and often packed. servers rush you to leave to turn tables - comfort food type: J’s Kitchen is a great hidden gem for things like hamburg set, and they make a great katsu black curry as long as you choose the premium pork. i would not go to ootoya, their katsu cutting is not great and often leaves unchewable fatty chunks (not the type that is desirable)
