replying to u/ForwardCobbler: If you’re staying in Midtown East, I’d recommend checking out the below: - Morning Star Cafe and John’s Coffee Shop: both are great diners. Morning Star, I think, is open 24/7 but John’s is only open until 3 or 4pm everyday. - Slate Cafe: great place for coffee and breakfast or lunch. It does get busy in the afternoon as it’s a big WFH spot. - Ess-A-Bagel: good but just be aware, the line is ridiculous. - Sarge’s: this is not that far away in Murray Hill but it is great Jewish deli food. They make the best sandwiches and matzah ball soup. - Monkey Bar: fantastic if you’re looking for something upscale but you need to make a reservation on Resy two weeks in advance from when you want to go.
