    replying to u/papa-hare: Probably not very popular/more niche, but both Romanian restaurants in Sunnyside were extremely public with how happy they were on their Facebook pages when the election results came in. That's dumb to begin with (even if they were sad it's dumb to air your politics when you own a restaurant), and I think small businesses face consequences easier for their actions. Romanian Garden and Danubius are the names. Unfortunately I'm never going to have Romanian food in NY again now.

    replying to u/Easy_Potential2882: If you're interested in Eastern European cooking, Romanian Garden is a unique treat, anything that comes with polenta will be pretty good. Giovanni's is the classic pizzeria of the neighborhood that also does Mexican food for some reason. Not a restaurant, but the Jar Bar is a pretty fun dive, they have pinball and a patio with a grill that people use.
