replying to u/KingsCountyWriter: Old Homestead is a classic NYC steakhouse. If you don't get the ($$$) omakase, Ushiwakamaru is great. Or Juban on 10th. Pepe Giallo is nothing you've suggested but a great restaurant, Pastis in the Meatpacking is a standard too.

replying to u/jesxa: Closer to Penn, I’d recommend Mercato — a super cute little corner with rustic brick and solid pasta. Bottino (closer to Chelsea) is also a good Italian spot (I had my engagement dinner there!) and the outdoor dining in the yard should be quite lovely this time of the year, the weather has been so nice 🍂 Junmen is a good spot if you’re feelin Asian, and of course would recommend Juban for drinks but that’s more of an evening affair :) cute sense of Chelsea is really pretty with good healthy options as well. Bluestone Lane in the Eugene building is a good option for a casual no fuss lunch in a comfortable setting
