NYC classic — Nicola Benfaremo began making Italian ices in a garage, and with his son Peter opened the Corona storefront in 1944 to coincide with the New York World's Fair. Peter ran it until his death in 2008. The shop reached national fame through its appearance in the opening credits of the sitcom The King of Queens. Wikipedia
