They might get a kick out of the pork chandelier at Calabria Pork Store or fresh clams from one of the fish markets. Dominick’s restaurant serves family style. Both Mike’s and Joe’s Delis offer great sandwiches. And there’s a cigar shop and an Al Capone statue in the Arthur Avenue market.

Get a slice of their square eggplant pizza-it’s ridiculously good.

I've had a number of amazing Italian and Italian American sandwiches around the city and growing up in NJ and I can truly say that the sandwich I had at Casa de Mozzarella was a standout. I did go on a Saturday and the line wasn't too bad, but I do say it's absolutely worth. While one person is standing on line, another can go get some treats over at Madonia Bakery - cannolis are insane and the white chocolate bread is spectacular (I'm not a huge white chocolate fan and this is fabulous).

I'm also a fan of Full Moon pizza, they have a great eggplant slice.
