replying to u/ZenghisZan: Honestly, the cozy coffee shop scene is kinda weak in NYC. I feel like coffee shops here are really just bakeries (delicious ones, at that) masquerading as coffee shops. Places like Central Perk are just tough to come by. However, i found Black Cat in the LES is SUPER cozy - for me, it's everything I want in a coffee shop.

Large selection of cozy mismatched sofas, outlets, wifi, etc. Would say I haven't had the best experiences with food but the latte was always solid.”

“I think that couch section in the back really comes the closest to resembling the "Friends" couches in all of NYC. I haven't had the food there tbh, but the vibes alone are top notch.”
