Frangos Peri PeriCHAIN

5.4/10Middle EasternSpanish

AI-generated summary

It's a Nando's clone and people split hard on it. Fans say the chicken and rice makes a good lunch with the right amount of kick. Others say the chicken came out dry or mushy, the sauces were off, and a couple of people said it made them sick.

  • replying to u/CravingCheeseburgers: I’ve avoided trying that place because there are a bunch of reviews of people saying they got food poisoning :/

I wouldn't go there, we went once and genuinely shocked I didn't get food poisoning off the two bites I had. Chicken was extremely dry and weird mushy? Entire place seemed like a rip off of nandos.

  • replying to u/ab216: There’s some bootleg Peri Peri places in the suburbs that are pretty good. Haven’t tried Frangos in East Village yet

I thought Frango's was pretty meh, the sauces that they had really didn't do it for me.

  • replying to u/BusterBaxtr: I've had Frangos twice - decent the first time, very mediocre the second time and made me sick.

I find Frangos to be decent at best and overpriced.
