replying to u/crazeman: In the other thread, someone recommended King's Kitchen. IMO that's kind of a "boring" choice because they have a location in every Chinatown (besides for Flushing) so you can probably try them whenever. I usually end up getting the casserole/clay pot dishes over the roasted meats whenever I'm at King's kitchen because there's not that many spots that does clay pot dishes. Personally I like: Ng's Kitchen is a hole in the wall with roasted meats, I think they are particularly good for their roast duck but their other roast meats is also good. They used to be a stall in the Fei Long food court before they closed during COVID. Roast 28 is also pretty good for roasted meats. They used to be in Queens before they moved over to Sunset Park some years back. Hainan Chicken House deserves a shoutout. Their roast pork is more expensive than typical Chinese spots but it's pretty good and taste different. They also use a fattier cut of meat. IMO worth at least a try.
