replying to u/BLOOD__SISTER: If anyone remembers the cheap dumpling era, there used to be a bunch of spots in chinatown which all were inundated with tourists then immediately closed, often by the health dept. North Dumpling is the only survivor, the Prosperity became King Dumpling. The price went up and there's lines of clueless assholes out the door.

replying to u/themooseexperience: I rolled my eyes when Shu Jiao Fu Zhou made it on the list of the top 100 restaurants in NYC. They make very good dumplings quickly and cheaply. People acting as if their dumplings are life-changing are so clearly doing it for theatrics, or are clueless.
