replying to u/Unlikely-Guess3775: I honestly find Barano pretty mid - I feel like it’s a neighborhood red sauce joint masquerading as an avant-garde pasta shop just because it happens to be in Williamsburg. The saffron pasta was one of the worst dishes I’ve had in what I consider a pretty strong food neighborhood.
“Barano is the one exception we visit over and over. Haven’t had the saffron pasta so can’t speak to that but highlights for us are the chicken parm, vodka macaroni, caccio e Pepe arincini, smoked mozz 🤤🤤 oh and their garlic bread is insane”
