replying to u/One-Tumbleweed5980: Depends on where you go. If it looks like an IG trap, I just avoid it. I just went to TabeTomo. It was fantastic. I like the soba at Cocoron. Bar Moga is good too and pretty much the main place to get omurice . Love Los Tacos No.1, Birria Landia, and Shu Jiao Fu Zhou for quick service. My favorite dish in the city is the mussels in white wine at St Tropez - West Village. Trust me. The cream sauce is to die for. I haven't been a while, but I remember everything on the menu at SakaMai being good. It's a little more upscale. The wagyu sandwich is the star.

replying to u/readytouff: Minetta was one on my list. Polo shirt or simple button up, khakis and running shoes probably. Wife will be a little more fashion forward but still dressed more for comfort. I'd just hate to get a reservation somewhere and get turned away.
