replying to u/carprin: I was about to flip when I saw Banh at 2 until I read your detailed writeup where you said don't order pho here 😂 Agree. I ordered their New Year's box twice and for some reason they're just not very good with soup? The sticky rice banh tieu is the best. Em's very hit or miss for me. And they gained some fame for their hủ tiếu, but Kitchen Co Ut has much better hu tieu (actually that's the only thing you should order there). Nón Lá, similarly, is only worth going for the bún bò Huế and nothing else. I recommend you follow Bé Bếp. She does a lot of fun popup around the city. Sometimes when she has her team do the prep they tend to be overseasoned, but more often than not I find her dishes authentic, creative and thoughtful.
