  • replying to u/justflipping: - Postcard - Takahachi - Japanese markets: Dainobu, Cafe Zaiya / Tomiz Cafe, etc - Elly's Pastry used to have a store, but looks like they're doing pop-ups now

Postcard kinda sucks. Got a strawberry sando and I thought it tasted like a much worse strawberry shortcake, like the bread part kinda tasted like cake, but a crappier version of it. It was very dry to eat (not enough cream?).

  • replying to u/waiting4pizza: Nami Nori for GF sushi! Their whole menu is GF and they are very accommodating to other food allergies. I haven’t been yet but there is a new GF Japanese bakery called Postcard that is on my list to try. Thyme and Tonic also seems like a popular GF spot but also haven’t tried yet. And finally, Claro for Mexican.

Small menu, but very yummy chicken katsu sandwhich and baked goods.

  • WOULD NOT recommend Postcard! Very mid, didn’t love the bread, and small portion for the price.

  • replying to u/ChefBoyD: For the bakery thang Nami Nori folks opened one called Postcard recently. I havent tried it yet though so i cant tell how it is.

It’s all gluten free and it tastes like it unfortunately :/. Went recently, they’re good for their koji cheesecake but other than that I would skip.
