replying to u/TheKingSimp: Not As Bitter is great. I think they just opened up like a month or so ago and are right near me so I’ve been hitting it up pretty consistently. Abraco is right near there as well, great espresso. Definitely should try if you are in the area again and like espresso based drinks (I get the sparkling espresso cream, super unique and refreshing).

replying to u/justflipping: There's good coffee in NYC (La Cabra, Sey, Dayglow, Not as Bitter, Drip, Black Fox, etc). But there's always going to be naysayers. The high cost does make it harder to churn a profit, so you might not always have multiple single-origin coffees on offer, large spaces to hang out in, etc. If you're happy with it, that's fine. Don't let others drag down your experience.
