Locanda Vini & Olii

7.2/10Italian

AI-generated summary

People call it one of the most authentic Italian spots in the city, Tuscan and underrated. The with fresh shaved truffle is the dish that gets named, and there's a cart. It comes up often as a Brooklyn date spot.

  • replying to u/eurtoast: [Locanda Vini & Olii (Tuscan)](https://www.locandany.com/dinner-menu-page) Terre in Park Slope is one of the few places where I've seen wild boar ragu on a menu and do it similar to a Tuscan preparation. Of all the Italian restaurants I've eaten at, those two stood out the most.

Locanda is one of the most underrated Italian restaurants in the city

  • replying to u/LeftReflection6620: Italian is my favorite food in this city. You can find almost every region of Italy here and plenty of old school mom and pop places. Go support the small shops that aren’t on TikTok or are charging $40 for a pasta dish. I never go to flashy Italian spots because places like Piccola Cucina or Fiaschetteria are just as good for very solid price points if not better. Also shoutout to Song e Napule for a taste of Naples.

Would add Locanda Vini & Olii and their gelato cart biddrina.
