replying to u/Leo80184: Do NOT miss Barney’s! Get the latkes. Murray’s on Broadway actually has my favorite smoked salmon and whitefish salad but you can’t sit down there to eat. There’s also a yonah schimmel outpost on west 72nd now. Enjoy!

replying to u/ephraim_curry: The only food establishment I am truly loyal to is Murray’s Sturgeon Shop on the UWS. I have been there between 1000 and 2000 times. I’m certainly not single-handedly keeping it open - it has a very large and devoted following of New Yorkers who have been going there for many decades or even their entire lives (like me).
