Ye I’ve definitely been there and didn’t know it was so cheap its pretty authentic from what I know (obviously not better than my moms). Def gonna go by myself soon but if u find anything Turkish or Persian (mainly for the rice) on a similar caliber keep me updated!

replying to u/throwawayzies1234567: Most of the Turkish and Persian spots I know are pretty upscale BUT have you been to Village Cafe on Coney Island Avenue? THAT is a hole in the wall, not super expensive, and it’s actually Azerbaijani. The food is amazing, but not sure what you’ll think as a native. I will say it’s uncommon to hear English there.
