  • I was shocked how butter flavored Jeni’s brown butter almond ripple was. Too much so for me personally, but if that is what you’re looking for.

It had almost 0 mix-in. I had to grab extra PB from my pantry because there was not close to enough in the ice cream. Barely any Oreo. It was good (because all ice cream is good in my opinion - no way to screw it up unless you REALLY screw it up) but not even close to the best ice cream I've ever had. So disappointing for what I was expecting (again, not bad). I would take Jeni's and even the PB honeycomb from Van Leeuwen over it (most similar flavor comparison). I would take B&J's over it. Maybe I just got a bad batch or something. Also, I judge ice cream much more on flavors/mix-ins and almost barely on quality so that may be it as I know CP is known for quality. I don't really care about the "quality" of the ice cream as long as the final product as good. I really wanted to love it and will have to try again but won't go out of my way necessarily.

I would take a Jeni’s pint over Cafe Panna any day.

  • replying to u/elenafoxx: What bothers me the most is the standing around and doing nothing people…  my other favorite is Morgenstern the main location closed but the Bananas place on Rivington is still selling pints and they have intriguing flavors and top notch quality..  I love quirky flavors like Salt & Straw but don’t find the ice cream quality to be very good… agree that Van Leeuwens is awful- it’s ok as a grocery store ice cream to get something organic / no fillers but there’s very little inclusion of the actual flavor and just not very good and certainly not worth waiting for… a pint of Jeni’s from Wholefoods is way better.. 🍨

    team Jeni’s!

the only ones that really come close for me are Jeni's and McConnell's.

  • replying to u/Final-Elderberry9162: Jeni’s ice cream had a blue moon flavor that I could find in NYC but they don’t always have it.

    Jeni does not miss
