replying to u/BlurryUFOs: (This is a local perspective, i have found my tastes differ tremendously from the people on this subreddit. I have lived in this neighborhood my entire life) I don’t know why IX is still in business I haven’t liked one thing i’ve eaten there except the free bean dip they bring out. Risbo is delicious. de hot pot is delicious but if you don’t like trinidadian food i don’t know how you’ll like it the deli on lincoln next to the laundry mat from the Q train has really good chopped cheese. king of tandoor does good vegetarian dishes like bangain bharta and saag paneer. and the tandoori wings are great. do not get anything else especially not chicken tiki masala or anything akin to that. silver rice is fine. only go to edie jo’s for a burger the nachos at el taqueria del patron are AMAZING. everything is pretty good except their steak dishes are kinda dry. DO NOT GO TO THE TACO PLACE ACCROSS THE STREET Allen’s bakery for current slices and coconut slices real ones know. the jamacain place on the corner of flatbush and park side has treated me well. again this is local eats
