I just tried this place very recently too, and didn't get this one but their butterfly pea jelly cake (it's not a cake made of jelly, it's cake and jelly together lol) and their thai tea cake. The butterfly pea one was a structural mess, love it as a flavor in general but the cake falls apart easily and jelly with cake with cream is a trio of textures that doesn't marry well - specifically the jelly is just too different from the other two. The thai tea cake though is nice and not too sweet, I would say solid/good! Where they shine though is their coffee! They're using thai coffee beans and extracting it as espresso for their Es-Yen which has a unique flavor profile and is nice and nutty, a litttttle similar to the chicory flavor of Vietnamese coffee but not as strong in either caffeine or chicory. It has a nice roasty flavor to it. The thai iced tea (also had it hot) was also a winner, and the right amount of sweetness with a beautiful tea fragrance running in at the end. Thai tea is usually toooooo sweet at most thai places and makes it feel like a dessert (that being said I still usually enjoy it) but this feels like a much more balanced version that I could drink infinitely more of!
