replying to u/amandabug: The seafood places in Astoria will cook the seafood any way you like - Astoria Seafood, Hamido, Le Petit Pecheur. In BK, Port Sa’id. Lots of Thai places also serve whole fried fish - Zaab Zaab does a fried whole bass, Saranrom Thai has fried whole red snapper and Na Rath (forget which whole fish they serve).

I need something really unique to help change my mind. I'm checking out IBN Hamido in Queens and that could be it. I need more.6 pts

replying to u/Efficient_Law_1551: Hamido is a hard pass. Everything was way overcooked when i went. I would swap out crevette for Dame. Did not enjoy the food at Crevette. For crab fried rice, i prefer thai diners. Somtom der has a wonderful crab fried as well, also the raw prawns there is one of my favorites.
