replying to u/durianbae: If you’re in Hell’s Kitchen you’re actually really close to my two favorite Greek bakeries (I say this as a girl who visits Nablus and Al-Sham regularly). Poseidon on 9th is great — a little pricier but super fresh and everything I’ve had there has been very good to absolutely fantastic. 9th Avenue International Foods, near the port authority, has my favorite spanakopita in NYC, although their baklava is solid, too.

replying to u/CabassoG: Would highly recommend a pastry from Poseidon. It's one of if not my favorite Greek bakeries and they make filo fresh which is a novelty. Grab kourabiedes or finika or a galaktobureko. Their savory pastries are alright.
