replying to u/JayMoots: There's a food truck in midtown called Uncle Gussy's (51st and Park ave) that's legitimately some of the best Greek food in the city, and very inexpensive. Caveats -- it's lunch only, so it closes at 3 or 4pm. And you have to find your own seating. There's an outdoor plaza with plenty of benches right next to it, so it's never a problem, but it may or may not be pleasant weather-wise in early December. If you feel navigating the subway, Astoria is a quick ride from Midtown and there's dozens of Greek restaurants that cater more to actual Greek people. If you're looking to stay in Manhattan, but get out of midtown, Snack Taverna in the West Village or Kiki's in Dimes Square are casual, relatively inexpensive, and in cool locations with lots of nightlife around them for afterward.
