Highly recommend!! Ahmed is the owner of the cart and a local gem, one of the nicest guys in Astoria! He remembers everyone’s name, and makes some of the best falafel in Queens—it’s cubed.

  • replying to u/legallefty: back when Eat It was just the cart on 30th ave, i don’t remember it ever being a miss. since it switched to the truck, that’s unfortunately changed

I was surprised when I rolled up at 6pm (no one else in line) and got soggy falafel and the lukewarm food. Flavor was on point but surprisingly, service wasn't.

  • replying to u/pizza_rat11: That makes sense. It's hard to scale and keep the same quality. Still I was surprised when I rolled up at 6pm (no one else in line) and got soggy falafel and the lukewarm food. Flavor was on point but surprisingly, service wasn't.

surly one is still there sometimes along with a bunch of new guys, and the owner rarely ever comes by anymore. so that’s why your service left something to be desired. it truly is an example of the age old nyc halal cart fall-off

By far the best chicken over rice I’ve had. Their white sauce is perfect.

  • Their red spicy rice is truly palate-altering. Generous portions and they always throw in something extra for you.
