Le Baratin

7.0/10French

AI-generated summary

A cozy, casual French bistro, not a fancy one. Regulars order the bourguignon Benedict, and the runs about $35, cheaper than the bistros nearby. The is decent and people like the French staff. It's also easier to get into than the better known spots.

  • replying to u/gimmethegummies: I cannot believe this place is real. I'm seriously emotional about it...I need to go. Thank you so much, kind stranger.

Get the bourignon Benedict and a panache and live your dreams ✨✨✨

  • replying to u/riningear: If they can't figure out anything else, Balthazar's salmon dish is $48, which I think is about the highest they'll go, but that's a "well, might as well" choice that's close to their hotel if nothing else seems to fit their vibe. I'd argue also it's about the vibes, Balthazar is a nicer sit-down spot that felt comfortable when I was taken on a date there. I think they want at least a decent atmosphere.

Even cheaper than Cluny at $35 for their excellent salmon. However, it's more casual in general though also great vibes in its way.
