replying to u/MTGothmog: Greenpoint Fish and Lobster is great! I sat at the bar ans watched them cook and had a great time. Oyster bar at Grand Central had lots of seafood and is a great spot. I used to champion Seamores but haven't been in a while. They offer by catch species, you pick the fish and the preparation and they handle the rest.

replying to u/BartBeachGuy: Williamsburg doesn’t narrow the list too much. Some great pasta places have already been mentioned. If you want red sauce American Italian Bamonte’s. For tacos try Taqueria Ramirez. There’s a bunch of great Japanese places. Sushi, soba, breakfast, ramen. Okonomi, Rule of Thirds, Uzuki. French Canadian at Chez Ma Tant. That’s just off the top of my head.
