Interesting that it comes off as so much higher end, since the price point is similar to HOUSE I think. Has there been a chef change or something at L'Appart? What changed there in terms of the experience/food? And thanks for the warning on Clover Hill and Maison Sun. What are the issues with those?

replying to u/hatts: Blanca (RIP / temporary hiatus) - one of the best food experiences of my life Per Se - tasty enough but not worth the expense. 90s concept of cuisine/decor/experience. Aska - I found it overly precious/finicky. courses get a bit repetitive. no cocktails or beer, just wine, and the somm made fun of me for asking Jungsik - meal was pleasant enough but i wasn’t bowled over til dessert, which was amazing Sushi Nakamura - extremely good. sake pairing is crucial
