Nablus Sweets

7.0/10

AI-generated summary

People list this for Arab sweets in Bay Ridge, and the kunefe is what gets named. The repeated warning is that the Paterson, New Jersey location is a lot better. A few regulars say the pastries here taste like they were made somewhere else and reheated.

  • replying to u/crazeman: Head right over to Bay Ridge, they have pretty nice cluster of Middle Eastern bakeries within spitting distance of each other. Antepli Baklava (Turkey) and Brooklyn Baklava (Lebanese) are right next door to each other. If you walk up 2 blocks, you'll also find Nablus Sweets (Infatuation says they are from Palestine) and Paradise Sweets Bakery (Jordan) who also makes Baklava.

    Nablus has decent kunefe too

  • replying to u/IIMsmartII: does brooklyn location of Nablus do its own baking? just wondering in what way its worse?

I found the pastries not as fresh by comparison (pretty positive it wasn't made there) and the kunefe/knafeh just tasted a bit off.
