  • The flavor from the marination, steak, basil and peppers pair very well with the rice and the 2 additional sauces on the side which I highly recommend. The steak is always tender and has never let me down once.

  • Their steaks frites (steak + cajun fries) are actually quite good also. 4 big pieces + good fries for 14.

  • replying to u/MirrorCraze: Shhhhh the line is so long already fam But yeah, my company is right across the street and this place motivates me to come to the office way more than my office can do. Also the owner is such a cool nice guy! I went there so often that he already remembered my order lol Their steaks frites (steak + cajun fries) are actually quite good also. 4 big pieces + good fries for 14.

You can find much better food than a lot of the places you mention. Don’t eat at Dig Inn—it’s mediocre garbage plates. If you are looking for cheaper eats in that area, get some onigiri at Katigiri Marketplace or go to Everydaily for some Korean katsu. Overall, your list lacks a lot of variety. NYC is a cultural melting pot and you plan to eat bagels 4 times, burgers 3 times, and bad pizza 2 times? A $6 slice is expensive for what it is but I promis you will enjoy that much more than you will the $1.50 slice. Don’t go all the way to Chinatown to eat at Xian Famous. There are so many other local options at that price point. Tasty dumpling, Wo Hop, 1915 Lanzhou, banh mi co ut, Wah Fung, Tao Hong, Grand Street Skewer cart just to name a few, but do more research. If you really want Xian, try to work in another location that makes more sense with your plans, there are several locations. Do more research to find better cookies and desserts. There are so many options. Eat at a Halal cart or food cart one of the days. Shawarma bay is a good one, Steak Freak is good for lunch. Eat a Cuban sandwich at Margon near Grand central. Overall, you need to replan a lot and get some more variety and do a little more research on desserts.
