Burger Club

8.1/10American

AI-generated summary

The is the order and people call it the best in Astoria, cheaper than most spots. Get the waffle . One regular says the regular are the weak part. The onion rings and the milkshakes get named too. A few recent reports say it's turned inconsistent, with burgers arriving undercooked.

  • replying to u/BourgeoisieInNYC: How was it? Last time we were there it was pretty empty and one of our burgers looked sus. Like it was still pink when we asked for medium well. The person who ate it ended up in the bathroom all night. But it used to be one of our most frequented spot.

the smash burger was low key undercooked (not sure how that’s possible) and the bun was soaked through. Used to be my favorite burger spot in Astoria but they’ve been hit or miss at best lately.

  • Best burger in the neighborhood, big ass salads served in a huge bowl, the waffle fries and onion rings rule, staff is super attentive and friendly. All around perfect casual neighborhood spot.

Add some Coleman's mustard to it. Donovan's is also my personal favorite, as someone who's probably a bit too obsessed with burgers. Red Hook Tavern was probably the overall best in the city that I've had, but it is a very simple burger. I was disappointed with Emily's burger. Super long wait and lots of gristle in the meat. The flavor was otherwise unremarkable. Loved the burger at Nowon. Haven't been to Au Cheval but it's on my list. Bareburger sucks, sorry you ate there lol. Minetta's Tavern was also a let down for me, definitely not worth the price. The burger was good, but for that aged meat patty, Red Hook Tavern was better. The Peter Luger's burger is also excellent, and is what the Red Hook Tavern based their burger on.

The burgers are tasty and they have hand-cut fries, thicker than I personally like, but perfectly cooked, and great dipping sauces.

Burger Clubs double smash is my favorite if you haven’t tried that

Burger Club also has top shakes!
