replying to u/savingrace0262: The thing is, pizza, dumplings, and bagels are basically NYC food groups. They’ve been here forever, they’re tied to the city’s history and they’re cheap enough to eat without needing Klarna to finance it. Smashburgers, on the other hand, show up every month with reclaimed wood tables, Edison bulbs, and a $21 burger that ‘honors tradition’ by doing exactly what Shake Shack already did in 2004. That’s the difference.
