replying to u/jonahbenton: There isn't much that is a destination immediately around the theater, more options in a 20-30 min walking radius. Zanmi is very good Haitian. Bonafini is very good Italian. Manchego is comfortable Spain-style Spanish. Costello Plan is cute and reasonably reliable American/small plates. Werkstatt is decent German. Wheated is exceptional dine-in pizzeria/bar. Purple Yam is pretty good Fillipino. A little further afield are Jalsa, exceptional Indian in a non-descript setting with never better than leisurely incompetent service, and Thai Farm Kitchen, very good Thai. And Risbo is perhaps closest, great energy and good kind of Caribbean/French inspired island eats and drinks.

replying to u/ohmosdefinitely: good list though you're missing so much delicious food in flatbush: \- jerk chicken at peppa's or exquisite express on church ave, \- roti and doubles from ali's or de hot pot \- errol's for patties (RIP jamaican pride bakery). i haven't been to the trini breakfast shed in years, but loved it when i lived closer. aunt et uncles is a great vegan cafe run by neighborhood locals.
