I like them all, but my top three are Long Hall, Clonard and Bar Snack. Honorable mention for Pecking House, as the dish itself is very good, I just like eating it at a bar instead.

replying to u/boroughthoughts: Cote is hard for two, because the restaurant is geared for for groups of four. I think they only do two for first and last seating. A lot of people have had luck with emailing them. Double Chicken is easy to walk into and hard to get a reservations. I've been multiple times as I live three blocks down. I've only done the Coop. I also don't think it's worth being married to top 50 cocktail bars in LES and East Village. You have 6 internationally renowned bars in walking distance from one another (amaro y amargo, Double Chicken, Atta boy, death and co, super bueno) and then many good neighborhood spots with serious programs like lullaby.
