replying to u/mad0789: Maki Kosaka could be great - they have a $50 “grab hand roll” set menu which is both excellent quality and something a little bit different. You can also do rolls there if preferred. Takahachi is also a good choice; it’s a very casual spot in the East Village. Great no matter what you order, and price point is more reasonable than some of the others mentioned. Momoya (Chelsea or SoHo) is another reliable choice with a broad menu and more of an upscale spot than Takahachi.
