  • replying to u/halfadash6: Has anyone here eaten at those places and a bunch of hole in wall places in PLG and Flatbush? I know the level of service and ambiance is part of the point (and the price) but I’m very curious if these places are bringing the level of flavor/spice that you get at somewhere like peppa’s.

Kabawa has incredible service, a fantastic cocktail menu, and the dishes have sophistication and creativity (even the patties and coco bread at their bar), as well as some more unusual ingredients, that you won’t find at a hole in the wall.

The patties at Bar Kabawa were so good.

  • replying to u/MaizeNBlueWaffle: The patties at Bar Kabawa were so good. Slightly too expensive, but really need to try the tasting menu

The tasting menu in its current state feels slightly too expensive as well, but the food and vibes are so good that I'm willing to overlook it. Oh and the goat dish that's currently on the menu is absolute perfection - I'm still dreaming about it.
