replying to u/AdmirableBicycle8910: I realized I should have provided more info in this post. This is my other post;
Rate my NYC food itinerary/ give suggestions
I have a little over 48 hours in NYC coming up. From Denver, and I’ve never been to the city. Arriving on Friday around noon, and leaving early Monday morning. Going to a show at the Gardens on Friday night. I want to eat all the best food the city has to offer that weekend but not necessarily the Michelin star scene. Pizza, bagels, Italian, steak, and things you can only find in NYC. Incorporating the feedback from an earlier post, this is what I came up with. I understand my plans may go right out the window when I get there, but I would appreciate some feedback on my thinking from some New Yorkers ;
Friday Dinner;
Keen’s Steakhouse. Possibly Gallagher’s or Porterhouse. But leaning towards Keens due to proximity to the Gardens.
Late night Friday;
Pizza somewhere. Leaning towards Lions Tigers and Squares due to proximity to hotel. Open to suggestions
Saturday;
Really open to suggestions here. I’m thinking a bagel at Brooklyn bagel. Then head to the Chinatown. Mei Lai Wah or wo hop? Don Angie for dinner if we can make it.
Sunday;
Tavern on the green for brunch. Then head to Rockefeller center. Grand central oyster bar for lunch. And then I’d really like to try a burger at 7th street.
Thoughts?
Feel free to tear me apart for being naive on thinking this is all possible.“if you’re into Neapolitan I would check out Mel’s (my favorite spot in the neighborhood)”
