replying to u/president_of_burundi: Malecon, is pretty much the most well known place up here for Dominican. Uptown Garrison and Saggio have really good pizza and Italian, respectively. If you go a little further down to around 150th, Bono Trattoria is excellent (and you're close my favorite bar, The Honeywell). Fort Washington Public House has great burgers. Tampopo Ramen and Ramen Ku Raku for Japanese. If you go up a bit into Inwood Canave has nice Mexican. Salento for Columbian (especially good breakfast) Addey Ababa just opened recently and has really solid Ethiopian Native Noodles has great Singaporean noodles, but is much better for delivery/takeout since the space is small. Elsa la Reina Del Chicharron for all your fried pork needs. Cafe Bunni for coffee. A little farther down again but in delivery range is Handpulled Noodle, which hits that Xians longing.

replying to u/sayquietly: Adding to this list since I want to second the entire thing, Locksmith Bar has great Peruvian and burgers. I also recommend taking a long walk up to ChocNYC for pastries. The caramelized croissants are life changing, and they’re so nice. I once had a passion fruit chocolate tart that I still think about randomly. North end Food Hall also has a few good places in it as well.
