    My wife’s favorite burger!

  • replying to u/Smooth_Influence_488: I have The Ribbon way high up on my to-do list because it's a sister restaurant to a favorite, Bacall's. Never had a bad time there and always felt like the food justified the price.

The Ribbon was excellent for me.

  • replying to u/Drach88: Nice Matin is good. Cafe Arte is only worth it for the happy hour. Not worthwhile otherwise. Cafe Luxemburg is excellent. Bagel Talk and Bagels & Co are your options near the beacon. Bagels & Co is kosher, so not your choice if you're looking for a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. They're also closed Friday afternoon though all day Saturday. Zabar's Cafe for a good value cream cheese and lox (nova) on a bagel, but not necessarily the best bagel. Broad Nosh Bagels is fine, and has decent fish selection, but it's a little farther uptown. Tal Bagels is probably my favorite bagel, but is even farther north. May be worth it. Pop up bagels is transplant bait. Aggressively mediocre bagels packaged for the TikTok generation.

the Fried Chicken at The Ribbon is super underrated. Great selections.
