replying to u/Flatbush_Zombie: I think you need to clarify what you mean by oddest. Oddest food as in rare or unusual cuisine or food item you won't find elsewhere? Oddest food as in strange combination at one specific restaurant? Oddest as in unique to New York cuisine? There are restaurants here that serve food you won't find anywhere else than the region or country they originated in. A great example is the Koryo-saram restaurants in South Brooklyn that serve the food eaten by Koreans in Uzbekistan. There are restaurants that have utterly bizarre creations unique to them, like Cafe Mars and their negroni jello olives. And then there are restaurants that are serving iconic and unique dishes of New York like the Sicilian pies at L&B Spumoni Gardens.
