replying to u/NYEDMD: Question for those who’ve responded: Let’s take three classic, well-regarded NYC restaurants — Le Bernardin, Per Se, and Jean Georges. As I write this, about fifteen to twenty other places have been mentioned. Are you saying that the overall dining experience is better at the newer places? Are we factoring in prices; i.e.: do they represent better value? Is it because the food is more original/unique? Please understand that I’m NOT criticizing your choices. I’ve eaten at a few and had some great food. Just curious.
