replying to u/thansal: Lady Wong's for SE Asian desserts (traditional and SE Asian flavors in more European fare). Expensive, but good. Veniero's, if y'all are tourists 100% go there, one of the old school Italian American bakeries. Xing Fu Tang - best tapioca for bubble tea, hands down, 100% swing by. They make them fresh, they'll ruin tapioca from anywhere else for you. You can get a little scup of soft serve w/ tapioca if you don't want a full drink. Walk along the first block of St Marks (between 3rd and 2nd), lots of things. Mango Mango (desserts), Beard Papa's (cream puffs), Spot Dessert Bar (twee and very style over substance desserts), and a number of excellent restaurants both older (Kenka, Mamoun's) and newer (886, CheLi/Mountain House) more just for browsing. Porto Rico if anyone needs some coffee beans. Barcade actually opens at 2PM, so if you want some beers or just to play some arcade games. Hekate Café - Coffee shop/dry bar. If any of y'all are teetotalers you can get an alcohol free cocktail (obviously not limited to those that abstain, but a nice treat if one of your friends does). It's also just a nice space. Or just wander the area, it still a lovely neighborhood. One of my favorite relatively new discoveries is [this building](https://i.imgur.com/94xGdWm.png) on Stuyvesant St, I've walked by it dozens of times, but last April was the first time I saw it in bloom like that.
