This is the old Nazi spot on 55th, and people say it still makes good . The is the one to get and it has real chunks of in it. The comes warm with butter instead of cold with mayo. It's cheap and you get bread and a piece of fruit with your order.

  • The Original Soup Kitchen (the OG Soup Nazi place) has a jambalaya that’s gotten me through many nights when I lived by there. It’s good

  • replying to u/toocacked: Hello! Thanks for commenting. I’m happy to get smacked in the face with reality, but it doesn’t seem unrealistically ambitious to me. We’ll be in bed early each night and up early each day. Most important thing is a food trip for stuff that nyc does best, with some personal preferences sprinkled in(see win son). I’m going to be splitting everything with my partner, we’ll be walking a lot, not a lot of sit down restaurants so just small bites. No real budget. I mean I don’t plan on spending a ridiculous amount unless I alter the plan majorly. We have rosella reservation @ 5 on day 3 and broadway tickets at 7, besides that and top of the rock, and a Times Square (quick) walk through, no real tourist-y stuff. I know Katz can have a big line, and Russ & daughters on Sunday morning might have a big line, but I don’t expect to wait in line for much of any other place. Could be totally wrong though.

I do love the lobster roll and bisque at the original soup kitchen on 55th.
