The eggplant parm pizza from pizza Pete’s on the uws can’t remember the name of this dish but at taste good (Malaysian in elmhurst) there’s an eggplant/okra/broad bean dish in shrimp chili sambal that is out of control delicious

replying to u/Snoo-18544: Traif. You can usually get reservations day of if your solo. Even on Friday. Traif has a 58$ tasting menu and 45$ wine pairing (20 percent gratuity is mandatory so if you do both expect to pay around 135, if its just tasting menu 75$). Google Maps says its a less than 10 minute walk from four horse man. I've never tried four hourseman, but I have tried 63 clinton (one michelin star). If 63 Clinton is an 8.5/10, then Traif is a 7.

I went there with a friend and even though it wasn’t busy/theyre were tables available and we hadn’t finished our dinner they were trying to weirdly rush us out. I get they have other reservations but this was not that. Felt weirdly inhospitable that my friend who works in the industry was taken aback as well.
